Ingredienti:
Gin, Vermut
l dry martini, si dice sia nato nel 1919 a New York al Waldorf Astoria. Il barman che lo preparò si chiamava appunto Martini, originario di Arma di Taggia in Liguria. Un’altra versione invece dice che fu inventato da un barman messicano di nome Martinez, in un bar di Boston, verso la fine del 1800. Il dry martini fu molto amato da Ernest Hemingway. Hemingway in realtà amava la versione chiamata Montgomery. In pratica faceva aromatizzare il ghiaccio shakerando del vermut, dopo di che si gettava il vermut e con lo stesso ghiaccio si shakerava il gin che veniva infine servito.
